The Transformation of the urban structure of Kumasi
A group of Master students from the Faculty of Architecture (TU Delft), Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies {Erasmus University Rotterdam) and KNUST (Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana) started together a multi-disciplinary graduation project in the city of Kumasi, Ghana during the past year. This integral studio did research on urban, housing and architectural development in this rapidly growing city. After completion of the collaborative research, the ten students of TU Delft focused on their individual graduation projects based on the outcomes of the research. This publication is a collection of these integrated spatial and architectural interventions which can be used as pilot projects to improve the situation in Kumasi. Studio Ghana
